What does this plugin even do?

  • Hi there, I am having an extreme amount of trouble with this plugin. At first, I was very excited to see an *official* UPS plugin to work with WooCommerce – after installation and some testing, not so much. What does this plugin even do? It is not doing anything it is supposed to or says it does…

    • No options given at checkout, just one rate with no label (is it Ground, is it 3 day, etc?)
    • Shipping given on cart page is seemingly random. If you refresh the page you’ll get a different figure, it seems to hop between 2-3 figures in my testing so far.
    • Product weight is not taken into account? If i increase the quantity of items in my cart the rate stays static – that’s not how shipping rates work!

    I have wasted my time as well as my client’s time trying to find *my* error in configuring this plugin properly but based on previous support threads topics (marked resolved, but that clearly have not been) I’ve come to realize that the error is not on my end.

    So, in short, I am looking for an explanation of what this plugin does? Is a working version soon to be available? Any tips and info would be greatly appreciated.

    @dwaynecasey Unfortunately, we were not able to meet our needs with this plugin – not for lack of trying! We worked with the development team to try to fix various issues we were having but in the end we opted to get a licence for the UPS plugin offered by WooCommerce. I had very high hopes for this plugin and I think one day it might be an awesome resource for WooCommerce stores but right now (or at least a month or so ago) it just is not ready. Sorry I can’t give a better update or more guidance.

    Depending on your needs it might be worth your time to reach out to the support team – they were very helpful and open to feedback. Even though they were not able to meet our specific needs with this plugin at this time- hopefully they can help you!
