What does rel=norewrite in thumbnail anchor do?
-
Hi,
YARPP includes template_thumbnail.php ln 40:
$output .= “<a class=’yarpp-thumbnail’ rel=’norewrite’ href='”What’s that intended to do?
Couldn’t find in any docs related to YARPP or WordPress and, as far as I know, it isn’t an attribute in HTML standards. It just seems to do what it says : add rel=norewrite to links.
Some SEO audit tools pick this up as a “ internal links?contain nofollow attribute“. That’s not correct as the attribute is norewrite not nofollow. Still, I’d rather not have it there even if it is a false positive.
Wanted to know why that’s there before I edit the plugin.
Any info?
