What does “bounces” refer to?

    Hi, I installed Burst Statistics on our site a little while ago. Thanks for making a privacy friendly plugin! I’m curious about what the bounce statistic is referring to. Our site is mostly static, although we send a monthly newsletter using MailPoet. But bounced subscriber addresses are very rare and MailPoet keeps close track of them. Is it maybe due to someone (or a bot) unsuccessfully trying to use our contact form, or something like that?

    @craighaggart sorry for my late reply! I thought I already replied to your post, but I probably just imagined that…

    A bounce is when someone visits your website, but closes the page again without doing anything else, like clicking on a link or filling out a form etc. So it’s very different from a bounce in email newsletters.
