• I recently received this email from my server host and I’d like to know what these sites and IP addresses might have in common. How come all of a sudden 30 different IP addresses are blocked? I know some of them are wordpress related..

    Thank you in advance.

    (The email)

“We have recently detected 30 attempts for establishing a connection from your account to a host that has not been added to the Outgoing Connections white list. Please keep in mind that if you want to connect to a certain host from your account, you should add its IP address to the white list first.

Below you can find a list of all the outgoing connection attempts that have been blocked by our system. You will also see which port was used for the connection and how many attempts were made.”

If it means anything, prior to this email, I was installing new plugins for my blog. But I’ve always been installing new plugins and this is the first time I got this email.

I also did some 301 redirects in my .htaccess file prior.
