Hi @yourjayanth thanks for your questions and glad to hear you’re using the Web Stories plugin. I’d be happy to help you with your questions:
1. For instance, I have published a web story that has its own perma link and stuff. If I embed the same story into a new post, which one should I index in SERP?
This is entirely up to you and depends on how you’d like your content to be indexed. This video explains how to check if your Web Story is indexed so may be useful for you.
2. Is it necessary to add stories into my posts? If I create a separate page for the stories? Does it make any difference? The thing is: I want my stories to appear in serp along with normal-text articles.
No you do not have to add your Web Stories to a post if you don’t want to and can do exactly as you say by adding them to a page you’ve created for your stories. There will also be your Web Stories archive page which you should be able to access by adding /web-stories
to the end of your site url. This will contain all of your created stories.
3. I don’t have AMP on my website, is that a problem? When I crawled the webstory link in the Crawling tool, I got green, so I believe it’s okay. or is it ?
No this shouldn’t be a problem. Web Stories are built using a subset of the AMP framework and you can check they pass AMP validation by running your Story urls through https://search.google.com/test/amp or https://validator.ampproject.org/. If you run into any AMP validation errors then please feel free to open a separate topic here for these and we will be happy to help you.
4. Yoast SEO isn’t working. How do I use it ?
Unfortunately we cannot help you with how to use other plugins. For help with the Yoast SEO plugin you will have to reach out to the support team there who will be able to assist you further.
