• I was trying to make some simple changes to the CSS and copied and pasted some code into the CSS and now my site looks like it’s from 1997. I am pretty inexperienced with this stuff and thought I was following the directions but I have clearly screwed something up. I am a journalist and my site is my work sample. Please help me correct if you can. Thank you!

  • Did you recently move your site or change hosting providers? When I look at your site, I get a whole lot of errors that all look like this:

Failed to load resource: A server with the specified hostname could not be found. https://www.funwithhorror.com.nyud.net

Because of those errors, none of your stylesheets or JavaScripts are loading.

No. I didn’t. Thanks for responding. I think I f-ed something up in the CSS. Do you know if there is a way to revert that?

    Thanks a lot!

What CSS did you add, and how did you add it? Did you use a custom CSS plugin?

I used a pre-written block of optimization text to optimize the site speed but taking it out has done nothing. I am so lost.

Can you post the exact code you added? If it’s too long, can you post it to Pastebin instead and post the link here?

You know what? It looks like it was not a CSS issue. I think it was a bad plugin. I just de-activated the last three plugins that I added and then refreshed the site in my browser and it is working again. I think. Thank you so much for your time and help. It was really nice to get some insight while I was panicking and dying inside. ??
