What could have cuased this?

  • While in the developmental stages, i had the wordpress site set up under my hosting package using the IP address; EX: https://75.53.135.35/~usernameofwebsite

    once completed, i switched the DNS and changed the UL/Site name within the WP adim area.

    that was yesterday, and all seemed fine. Today, a plugin is missing and a text widget that had some important coding in it is gone.

    Could this have happened by making the site live? I didn’t move the site, just did what i mentioned above.

    There is someone else working on the site and they insist they haven’t touched anything.

    any thoughts appreciated.
