I have two nearly identical sites: a test site a production site. Both are on up-to-date Ubuntu 16.04.4 servers. The upgrade on the test server went smoothly and all works OK. The same upgrade on the prod. server however seems ok but nothing works. The table of tables shows all ??. I can select a table but cannot search the table. Clicking on the search button does nothing. I cannot enter a query.
I have no idea where to look. Is there logging somewhere that could help me troubleshooting this? Any suggestions where to look. It is so unfortunate that this happens on the prod. servver; fiddling with the plugins is not what I want tot do there…
Thanks for any help, Egbert Jan, NL

Still struggling with 1.1.10 on my production server. How / where should I enable PHP debug? I have full access on the server, access priv’s shouldn’t be an issue. I have found some logging in /var/log/apache2 but nothing related to my issue.

I can ftp the complete trees for 1.1.9 or 1.1.10 into my site repeatively. With 1.1.9 all is nice and dandy; with the 1.1.10 tree the issue returns.

Recap: adminer shows initial window with all “?” in the field matrix. When I select a table, it lists the contents. BUT when I select/click search or sort nothing happens. I expect to see the fields to compose the actual search. Not.

I’ve deactivated all plugins one by one and tested adminer; no luck.

I fear is is some kind of js problem. That makes it very difficult for me to troubleshoot. I know nothing about js…

If someone has a suggestion for debug or where to look… please!
    TIA, Egbert Jan

Addition: I searched older threads and what is described in “Latest update broke search” is exactly what I have with updating 1.1.9 -> 1.1.10.

Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.

If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.

Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us asking you to repeatedly stop before escalating up to the plugins team.

Sorry Jan. Do not want to bring @arisoft into trouble. It won’t happen again.
