What causes & How to fix error establishing database connection.

  • Sometimes when i load a page in the wp-admin i see error establishing database connection. Please could someone tell me what in the first instance causes it? Is it as a result of server side issues resulting from bad hosting companies?

    Intermittent DB failures are an issue with your hosting. Either you’re exceeding some quota of queries or the DB server is going up and down. Contact your host.
