What causes delay in pass-reset emails?

  • I’ve recently been having a problem with receiving password-reset emails. In the past, I would receive the messages almost instantaneously. Lately there’s been a 10-minute or so delay. Just curious if anyone had any ideas what might be causing the delays. Might it be due to plugins, or a code error, or slow server, or…? Any ideas? Thanks!

  • Honestly, it could be *anything*. The internet is a large place, and sometimes it takes a while to get from point A to point B. It isn’t always a direct route. Plus being mail, it’s not in its nature to stop and ask for directions. It’ll simply keep driving around until it finds its destination.

    @tg – Thanks for the visual of my lost little email. ??
    I was wondering if there might be a specific reason since usually it is so much faster. Thought it might have something to do with something I had done.
    BTW, still waiting for the last one… 20 minutes…
