I’m operating a homepage that includes a paid membership page by linking simple membership to the online payment system “Stripe”.

The other day, I manually changed a customer who was a paying member to a free member, and his membership level became “suspended”.
Do you know the cause of this?

Also, The member had originally signed up for a paid plan with an unusable credit card information.
After four failed Stripe payment attempts in three weeks, the subscription was forcibly cancelled, and the member was then transferred to the free plan.
I wonder if this is the cause of the problem.

    Please confirm.

Hi, it looks like this was a paid subscription for membership. If that is the case, then the following instructions should help.

    Kind regards.

    Thank you for your reply.

I checked the Stripe management screen and found that the subscription was cancelled on 07/30/17:47. If the plan had been changed by then, would the subscription be “suspended”?

Also, the subscriber ID that links the member to the stripe subscription was not deleted from the member information, so could this be the cause of the problem?

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi,

I checked the Stripe management screen and found that the subscription was cancelled on 07/30/17:47. If the plan had been changed by then, would the subscription be “suspended”?

I suspect that because you changed the account manually without going through the proper process, that automatically cancelled the account.

    Kind regards.

Can you be specific about the proper process?

If I change to a free plan when my subscription has not been cancelled by Stripe, will my account status be "suspended"?

Also,Is it possible that the account has been suspended because the ID of the cancelled subscription is registered in the member's information?

Jus to clarify, our plugin doesn’t use the word “suspended” anywhere. Are you referring to the actual Stripe subscription agreement item from Stripe’s website? So you went to your stripe account dashboard and modified the subscription payment?

If you have a membership account that is connected to a subscription payment, if you make changes to the subscription payment (meaning the plugin won’t receive the money it expects to receive), then the account will be deactivated. A paid account is connected to a payment. So a change to the payment agreement can deactivate the account (if the payment is not ongoing anymore as it was originally setup to be).

What our plugin supports is the following:

    1) Cancel the subscription payment from Stripe (if you need to). This will deactivate the account but at the same time, it will disconnect the subscription that was linked to that account.

    2) Now, you can manually edit that member’s profile and give the user a NEW free membership level or extra time. The following documentation should be helpful:

There may be an error in translation, but
The account status is “suspended”, not “disabled”.
Is this not the status used on the plugin?

Also, there is no operation from Stripe.
The automatic cancellation of the subscription occurred because the card of the relevant member who registered for the paid plan was not a valid card.
The site administrator then changed the membership level of the relevant member to free.
    The account status became “suspended”.

I couldn’t figure out the cause of the “suspended” message.
I would appreciate it if you could tell me in what case it becomes “suspended”.

    Thank you in advance.

Hi, you need to contact Stripe support regarding the “suspended” message/account. Unfortunately this is not related to our plugin.

I did a Google search and someone posted the following information. This might help you.

In response to the following replies received more than a week ago,
Could you please be more specific about the “the proper process
    “?
