Which one of these is any good? Do any of these support Direct Payment w/ Paypal (not directing customers to a gateway…customer stays on the page)

  • eShop doesn’t support it.

I did look into providing it but most people won’t want to fork out extra for an SSL Certificate, which you would need for people to enter personal data via your shop.

Shared hosting does provide a shared SSL, but usually you need to use a different URL, which isn’t always convenient to use.

As to which is any good, why don’t you try them all and choose the one that suits your needs best.

But for serious sellers that want to have a direct payment without leaving the site I’d suggest using a dedicated application like Trading Eye.

Sorry, YAK doesn’t currently support direct payment either.

The more research I do I don’t think there are ANY WordPress plugins that support Direct Payment at all.

That sucks, I really wanted to use WordPress. I don’t think I knowledgeable enough about WordPress plugins to write my own at this point…

Not a WordPress question but, are there any standalone carts that support a direct payment style checkout?

I’ve been looking into the WP Ecommerce and it looks like that one doesn’t support Direct Payment either.

What do you mean by direct payment?

Do you mean the buyer never leaves the vendors site? If so WP e-Commerce supports this feature by using Authorize.net or Paypal payflow pro (I think that is what it is called).

In which case WP e-Commerce is the most awesome! It is also the most advanced and feature rich out of the other wordpress plugins.

    Ciao,

    Dan

I thought wp-ecommerce did but wasn’t 100% sure so didn’t say anything – thanks for pointing it out.

In all cases though I would suggest you try what is available and choose the solution that is right for you.
