What can and what cannot be a part of a www.remarpro.com theme?

  • Hey,
    Just wanted to ask whether I can include jQuery effects like a slider or lightbox as a part of the theme or is that better left to a plugin?
    Also, if i do include a lightbox, am I also required to provide teh user with an option to turn it off?

  • Both of these options are up to your requirements, if you want to control a slider and set the defaults to suit your theme then build them in, you can like in the link, add a theme setup to an admin page.
    Or you could just add support in your theme for an existing plugin, add some styles or a function that changes the layout if the plugin is present.

    What is your opinion on the lightbox?
    Would that be considered as overriding the default WordPress behaviour of clicking on image links?
