    Hello,

I am building a website and I am a bit confused about what to set on the username and password authentication.

The mail addresses are both on the same mail server ([email protected], [email protected]), but on the “From” email address inside the contact form, I am using [email protected]. This address is not created inside the mail server.

I am might missing or misconfigured something, but, is it possible inside the SMTP authentication to use any of these accounts, and still, the mails can be delivered properly?

Feel free to correct me if i misconfigured anything or if i missing any information.

    Best Regards

  • Hi, this depends on the email sever configuration. There is a greater chance your email will be marked as spam. The email should go out with a problem, but to be sure confirm with your email server admin.

@stevendigital, you should contact your host about using the correct SMTP settings.

    Kind regards.

Well, I have contacted them and they said that there is no problem with setting either of the emails I have on the server.

But for some reason that makes no sense to me. How I can set in the authentication a password and a username ([email protected]) that will authenticate for the mail [email protected] that is inside my other Contact form.

I don’t know if I do something wrong.

    Hi,

How I can set in the authentication a password and a username ([email protected]) that will authenticate for the mail [email protected] that is inside my other Contact form.

I am not sure how your host has setup the SMTP settings in your server. I would set up the SMTP settings as per your server settings. Then you might like to try and enable the following field Don’t Replace “From” Field located under Settings -> Easy WP SMTP -> Additional Settings.

Let me know how you go.

    Kind regards.

    @mbrsolution

The hosting provider sent me what I should put on the SMTP settings. The problem is that if I use a Microsoft email account, and add in the Don’t Replace “From” Field different emails than the authenticated, then the emails are not delivered. Also in the error logs on the plugin, there are no errors.

So I really don’t know what else to do or to try, in order to achieve and send with one authentication, different emails.

    Best Regards

Hi, please check the following support thread. Someone posted a solution that worked for them.
