what am i fundamentally doing wrong?

  • I’ve tried for about a month now to get mu domain mapping to work wading through the multiple different ‘how to’ guides that are out there.

    my wordpress multisite is set up and I can add subdomains.

    my domains are hosted on another server with the dns name servers pointing at my hosting site. I know the redirections work because I can set up a subdomain on my hosting site and with a regular html webpage page loaded up the re-directed domains work fine.

    with domain mapping plugin when I attempt to add a new domain I get the ‘domain added’ message but that’s it, nothing else.

    surely I am doing something fundamentally wrong but I cannot figure out what so if anyone can advise I would appreciate it.

    You cannot map a domain to the main site.

    thanks for getting back, but I am not trying to map a domain to the main site, I am trying to map a domain to a subdomain that I have set up.

    I’m having the exact same issue.

    When I fill out the information to map a domain to my subsite it says that the domain is added but the drop down list is not there.
