What about translation?

Thank you for you interest in translating Wordfence, I’m afraid to say that localization isn’t supported at the moment, however, it’s on our plan to address this feature in future releases but I don’t have a specific estimated date for this one.

I understand your answer, but my problem is that in my Dutch website, entering a wrong password I get an English message: ERROR: The username or password you entered is incorrect. Lost your password?
(Line 1422 in wordfenceClass.php)

I cannot translate this message, because it is NOT in a .POT (or .po / .mo). All the other messages are somewhere to be translated (WPUF / TML) but not this one.

As it is an important message, can you please advise me where an how to translate this one..?

Hi Xonnext,
I’m afraid to say there is no possible way to do that at the moment away from editing the plugin file and modify the text message there, but this is not recommended as you will lose these modifications on every plugin update and we can not provide support to any modified version of the plugin, just for our reference, this issue has the internal reference number (FB761).

According to the above, I would say that the vast majority of internet sites don’t have English as their site’s language. Actually today, the number 1 site language is Chinese and the second one is Arabic…

As of today, you have 22,042,463 downloads from www.remarpro.com. “you are missing out on the other 74 percent”

I am using a lot of plugins with less than 500K downloads and the vast majority of them are multilingual and yours with 22M downloads are unilingual.

Thanks for your reply. It is no problem that the plugin is only in English, as long as it stays in the backend. But as you are taking over error messages in the frontend you are creating problems. And that you should not do. Stay in the backend or deliver a .pot-file.

I have the same problem with the english message:

ERROR: The username or password you entered is incorrect. Lost your password?

As my site is in spanish, a pot file would be greatly appreciate it, and if not, at least indicate what php file we must manually edit, even if we’d have to re-edit it in every wordfence update.
