    Hello,

Understand that WPSiteSync takes care of feature images. Though this is very limiting. It’s common that a content page include more than just a feature image on a modern web site. Having to manually upload images to the target site and retype all the meta info for each image defeats the purpose of WPSiteSync – because manually copying page HTML and text and pasting to target is easier and dealing with images.

How about having an extension for syncing the entire media library along the image metedata as well?

    Thank you

  • Hello Skylabb,

WPSiteSync does sync all media attached to a Post or Page, including the featured image. Did you not experience this? Where you using any Page Builders? If you are not seeing the images come across to the Target site when you push a Page or Post please contact support and we will assist you further. Send an email: [email protected]

    Thanks

Thanks for the quick reply, Gregg.

Because I’m not using featured image for my page layouts, none of the images got copied over to target site. This sounds like you’re assuming the page is created with Classic Editor. Gutenberg now is the new standard. I see that you have commercial extensions to sync certain design blocks. The block content and settings I have for my pages seem to be copied over fine – just the images missing. I check the media library and they are not there. So instead of making the block compatible and all that, why not just sync the media library itself?

Update – now that I refresh the library page I see images moved over. Though they’re not showing up on front-end. Need to do some investigation and update here again soon.
