What about blog subscriptions?

  • Hi,

    I’m a very new blogger. I just installed the Jetpack blog subscriptions widget. After I did, I began wondering whether that’s a good idea. My thinking is that when I get people to come to the site, if they subscribe to the blog by email, they won’t need to visit it.

    I’d love to hear some opinions by more experienced bloggers concerning the pros and cons of having blog subscriptions.

    I personally have never used the Jetpack subscriptions.

    I have always stuck to Mailchimp. There are many plugins and tutorials that can walk you though setting this up. A quick Google search should get you started.
