• After hours of watching youtube videos to try and make wpevents work (pausing, rewind, play, edit, pause, rewind, play, edit, etc, etc, etc), frustration forced me to look for alternatives. The simple truth is the WP Events is NOT USER FRIENDLY!!!! FOOEVENTS is intuitive, it simply flows with zoom, dances well with WooCommerce. The fact that WP Events does not allow refunds speaks to the fact that they want money for something that does not work! Why jump through hoops and anxiety to get a product like WP Events to work when FooEvents just does!?!! I would not give WP Events 1 star. This plugin does NOT deserve a Star!!

  • Hi @jroyse

I am extremely sorry that you had a bad experience with us.

We have a lot of customers using the zoom plugin, and it is completely working fine with Wp Event Manager. However, In case if you are experiencing any particular issue, please tell our support team, they will guide you.

In case if there is any bug that is hampering the performance of the plugin, we will right away solve it.

We never claimed that we will not provide a refund for something that we have said it will work, and it is not working. Although we haven’t received any support ticket from this mail id, still we will request you to create one, or revert on same, if you have created any here.

We have said that we will not provide a refund in case the user says that “this is not what I needed”. We have made sure to provide a demo site and clearly mentioned in our policy that We recommend you to first try the core free plugin and the demo site and then purchase the addons.

I am sure, FooEvents would be competent, however, we are not less, and we are ready to provide all deepest support, step by step guidance, or video guide for the issue you are facing.

    Regards,
    Priya

It is right that there is a lot that you have to adjust first before WP event manager works right and still after that there are things that dont work to a 100% correctly. But what I see from the demo from fooevents looks way different. You cant compare these two plugins. Obviously there is no way for visitors to add an event and the design is much easier than what you have here.
Sorry, but theres is just no way to compare it, especially in the free version.

It is too bad that they have a no refund policy, I was seriously considering this product, but will not use a company that does not stand behind what they produce. I was looking at fooevents as an alternative and this helped me make my decision.

@npetrie5933 we’re sorry that we only came across your comment now, but we do in fact have a no-quibble refund policy: https://help.fooevents.com/contact/refunds/

We hope there is another opportunity to give FooEvents a try in the future.
