What a timesaver.

Originally used it to upload a *ton* of images from camera into WP media. Worked like a charm and such a timesaver.

Today, I had the pleasure of manually recreating a site (don’t ask). Had the old files in the old upload folder structure so thought to myself “how hard could this be” to get WP to recognize them… Yeah. So this plugin saved me a ton of time getting all the old photos and videos into the new WP installation media.

NOTE: IF IT SEEMS TO HANG WHEN YOU START PROCESSING (click “Update Media” button), it may be that you did not actually select any files to process.

After the plugin finds all the files to process, it is not obvious that you have select them first before pushing button.

AND… if you do not select them, the plugin says it is processing them, even shows you a progress slider. But just sits there. Refresh the page, select all items, and THEN press the button. Voila.
