• Tried to install this plug-in. On activating it already gave weird “white screens” with “504 Gateway Timeout error” which didn’t exactly gave me confidence. After some time it said something like “Updated to latest version”. And I thought: “OK, maybe just a temporary hick-up”.
But then trying to add my ‘first’ client, which simply wouldn’t work. Front-end of website considerably slower and also not rendering right (a back-end CRM influencing the front-end rendering of the website, excuse me?). That was enough for me, and I thought: OK, out with it, now.
However, could NOT de-activate the plug-in. Had to remove it via FTP.
Now everything back to normal on the website. Phew!
    Never again.

    Hi @frizzel

First up, thanks for sharing your feedback, I’m sorry to read that you’ve had a bad experience. We’ll gladly help sort this.

Please could you give me some specifics so that we can fix our CRM plugin so that it works in situations the same as yours?

    1. What PHP version are you using?
    2. Is there anything special/uncommon about your setup (e.g. multi-site, windows hosting, modified WordPress install?
    3. Are you using WordFence or any other security plugin?
    4. Which hosting provider are you with?
    5. Would you be so kind as to offer us a guest login? We’re really keen to help anyone willing to try our plugin, and will guarantee to fix any bugs we can replicate.

… as above, will gladly give the time to resolving these bits for you, please do let us know and we’ll fix this ASAP.

    Hi @woodyhayday,

Thanks for your reply. To answer your questions:
    1. PHP 7.0
    2. No, just a normal website.
    3. Yes, WordFence (and maybe I should remove that and replace with Sucuri, as some other hosting provider has advised me).
    4. SiteGround
    5. Uhm, not yet, maybe later.

    Thanks.

    Hi @frizzel

Thanks for getting back to me. We’ll do some thorough testing on PHP7.0, and I’ve noticed over a few of my different plugins that have seen 1,000+ audiences of users that WordFence can knock things over, so we’ll debug that too.

If there’s anything else you can tell us that’d be really appreciated, (a screenshot of your other active plugins would be seriously helpful).

Will report back here if/when we can replicate your issues and have fixed them.

    Thanks again for your feedback

    Hi @frizzel

Okay, I’ve recreated your environment and tested this fully with php7.0 and WordFence on – v2.0.1 seems to be running perfectly well so it’s not either of those that caused this.

    1. Re: “add my ‘first’ client, which simply wouldn’t work” – could you please explain what wouldn’t work here?
    2. Re: Plugin deactivation – was the problem here that you couldn’t see the “Plugins” menu item (because of ZBS overriding menu) or some error (if so could you explain?)
    3. Re: 504 error and front-end slowdowns – Which theme were you using at the time – and please see below re: plugins

Could you please share here (or email [email protected]) – a screenshot/list of the other plugins you had enabled, and the name of your theme?

I’d love the opportunity to fix this for you and will need these to identify the potential clash/conflict/issue.

Thanks again for replying with info.

    Hi @woodyhayday,

Thanks for the quick replies. Really appreciate that.

What I’ll do is remove WordFence and try to install your plug-in again, probably tomorrow (it’s quite late here now).

Regarding 2. (de-activation): No, the plug-in was in the list, however, clicking on “de-activate” just did nothing.

But, as said, will try to install again and post the results here.

    Hi @frizzel

Thanks for trying again – I don’t think it’s WordFence, but please do report back and let me know. Really would like to help you get this working and fix whatever the issue is for other users going forward.

If it’s still not working, as much info as possible really helps.

    All the best

Did you manage to re-test this?

If so can you let us know how you got on?
