Hi! I recently set up a new WordPress website and added the Wordfence plugin to it. Previously, I had successfully configured Wordfence settings on another website, and I want to use those settings on my new site. However, the problem is that my old website is no longer live, and I only have a full backup of the old site. Is it possible to locate the export token within the files of my old site and use that token to apply the settings on my new site? Thank you.

Hi @disturbedxl, thank-you for getting in touch.

Unfortunately the export token is generated for you to recall the backed-up data from our servers so having not generated one means that we won’t have the data either.

If you have the backups of the old tables, we would always recommend installing a fresh version of Wordfence on the new site to create the tables, then importing just wp_wfconfigand?wp_wfls_settings, replacing the existing tables.?wp_wfblocks7?could also be useful if you had any permanent block records. These contain nearly all of the settings that would be in an export.

    Many thanks,
    Peter.
