    “We’ve updated our SEO score algorithm. Click here to recalculate the SEO scores for all posts and pages.”

    Is it really necessary to have this message posted permanently with no option to remove it?

    Selecting ‘x’ only removes it until the page is refreshed. The usual method of visiting the linked page, even though I don’t want to, seems not to work with this latest ‘vitally important‘ message?

  • Thank you, Alexander. Your suggestions works for me:

    Hello, I just find out a 1 minute simple fix.

    – Go to: wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/admin
    – Edit the file called: “class-admin-init.php”
    – Go to line: 179 and remove all that public function content, the code must be like this:

    public function recalculate_notice() {}

    Work for me, I have WordPress 4.3.1 Multisite Installation.

    Can you be clearer on what to remove? Just that one line, or up through where?

    thanks

    Hello PWizard!

    I printed my screen before try and it’s running good now!

    I using WordPress 4.3.1 Multisite Instalation.

    Not sure what’s going on with the latest plugin version. This really needs to be fixed. It’s a big problem and is occurring on all my websites.

    Thanks to @alexander, your work-around fixed the problem for now but we need a long term solution.

    I’m also unable to remove the admin dashboard widget when using the code provided by the Yoast team on their website.

    Don’t bother with the fix. Just roll back to 2.3.5. Easy to do using wp rollback plugin, headaches are gone. I’m going to wait until I hear that it is working seamlessly again before upgrading.

    and thanks @zecarlosbr. As I said, I will just wait because my problems extended beyond this.

    Just a quick update on this.

    This morning my PR which fixes this issue has been intended to be rolled out in version 3.0.5, see here:
    https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/pull/3480

    Hopefully this should be rolled out soon although that’s up to the Yoast SEO dev team

    I can confirm, that this bug is fixed with 3.0.6 version. Thank you!

    It may be, but from what i am reading in other posts, this issue seems to be trivial.

    Personally, I am sticking with 2.3.5 until all the bugs are gone.

    Came across this as an alternative SEO plugin: SEO Framework and the SEO Data Transporter to migrate your data

    Developer seems very pro-active and the intention is for this plugin to always remain freeware without any premium add-ons.

    @barnez, does it have a sitemap generator?

    @saludcasera

    Yes, it generates a sitemap at https://www.yoursite.com/sitemap.xml
    I tested it in Google Webmasters Tools and it is accepted without any problems.

    Ok, thanks. I will keep it in mind as I need to move away from Yoast due to all these issues.

    I don’t see the need to switch SEO Plugins. Yoast 2.3.5 was perfectly fine. Just rollback and avoid this version like the plague until they figure out all the bugs.
