Nice plugin, used it before and after installing it again today, it’s still my #1 download plugin.

But I have some remarks:
1. Like other people are mentioning, your Knowledge base is not clear and hard to find.. Furthermore it tells me to install the add-on ‘Extended Short-code’ to use the [wpdm-all-packages]… But this also works with the default install???
2. Running into some conflicts with my current theme salient ( 1 of the highest selling themes on Themeforest! ). I know conflicts don’t have to be the fault of the plugin developer. But on your forums I’ve seen a post where 1 of the staff members comes with a solution to edit the ‘wpdm-functions.php’.. First thing in my mind: What happens when I update WPDM ..? WPDM already has a setting where I can disable the Twitter bootstrap, why not a setting for the font-awesome enqueue..? I tried many plugins on the Salient theme, and WPDM is the only one with conflicts..
3. It seems I cannot change the ‘download item’ author..? Google search brought me to a blocked pro forum… -,-
4. How to register on your site?? Spent 15 min on finding a register button, then I gave up…

I would love to give a 5 star rating and will do so, when these ‘problems’ are fixed.

1. as well as [wpdm-all-packages] short-code, the extended short-code add-on include some other short-codes too, most of those short-codes requires additional js/css file to enqueue, so kept those additional features as separate add-on to keep the plugin clean.

2. Actually as you said, it will be possible to keep separate option for different theme conflict :), but we will add option for disable font-awesome with next update as most themes already has it included. Still if your theme is font awesome properly, there shouldn’t have any conflict.

Thanks for your fast reply!! I’ll add a star just for that.

1. Ok, but do I need to install the add-on? I’m only going to use the [wpdm-all-packages] shortcode.
2. Nice to hear this extra function will be implemented in the next release.

I added 2 points, probably while you where writing your reply :P.

1. [wpdm-all-packages] doesn’t require that add-on, however the add-on featured explained here https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/download/wpdm-extended-short-codes/

I’m using Chrome.

Using the default WP register link i’m able to register, but I assume this is not how you want your visitors to register.
