I thought about this, and you’re right – the blank default blank option is not how the other ‘drop down’ field works – so this one shouldn’t either.

I thought about adding a filter or option so people can specify their own default option, but it’s way more work than benefit. But maybe something I’ll do if someone asks about and I have more time.

If you update to version 1.1 your first option will appear first in the list and be seleted by default.

Just a work of caution – you may end up with bad data if people don’t select an option. If they dont change the drop down, it’ll submit your default option as what they selected. (hope that makes sense!)

Yup, in version 1.2 I’ve added a single ‘,’ without any string before it, its adding a blank option with null value. Its working now.
But what about if i want to different label and different value on same option?
Suppose, in dropdown i added choices as “A,B,C,D,E” but the value for those choices will store as “1,2,3,4,5” ?

I see you point with the different labels.

I’m not satisfied with setting and storing the details in a single comma separated string and would really like to make it more like the ‘drop down’ field that GF has – where you can add the values in separately and use a add/remove repeatable list.

I’m hoping to start work on this over the christmas break so stay tuned !

What about the calculation on list field? I have asked you earlier about this.
I would like to have a calculation on list filed. which will calculate value of 1st & 2nd column and place it to 3rd column.

Have a look at what I said here .. it’s not an easy task. Something Im ‘looking at looking it’ but like fixing up the labels/values – something I hope to fit into my Christmas break time, but not sure if I will get time. If you can develop or contract someone to develop it, I’ll be happy to look at integrating it into the plugin so others can benefit.
