    Hi Roman,

    Please could you let me know how I could possibly move the welcome button and telephone number so that it doesn’t sit over the logo area of the header? Is there some code I can play around with to move the button and telephone number positions?

    Thanks very much,
    Jen

  • Hello Jen,

    Please remove that welcome logo as I have suggested in your previous topic and leave here a note.

    Kind Regards, Roman.

    Hi Roman, I don’t quite understand how to do this. I’ve looked in the Customize/Welcome Area section and so far as I can see there isn’t a logo uploaded?

    Thanks,
    Jen

    Hello Jen,

    Can you please provide a screenshot to illustrate what you see in that Customize section? You can upload screenshot to your WordPress Media Library and share a link, or you can use one of the online services (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.).

    Kind Regards, Roman.

    Okay Jen, thank you for the screenshot.

    You can try to select some image, save your changes, and then remove it.

    Kind Regards, Roman.

    Hi Roman,

    I’m going a bit crazy with this! I’ve removed the welcome message and button to make things a bit more simple. I’m just trying to get the header so that the ALFMA logo is central right to left and also up and down.

    When I use the Live Editor it shows me that it is exactly central when viewing on laptop, iPad and mobile and yet when I view on my own laptop, I get the attached view where the logo is too far down and not central up and down – is it just my own laptop view which is showing incorrectly?

    Thanks very much,
    Jen

    Hello Jen,

    Let’s try to resolve your issues step by step. Your logo leftover issue is still actual, as far as I can see. Did you try to do what I suggested in my previous post?

    Kind Regards, Roman.

    Hi Roman,

    Thanks for your patience in helping me! I’m not sure how to remove the logo as I can’t see where it is uploaded. In the Customize/Welcome Area it says ‘no image selected’. I’m fairly sure the leftover logo is the owl which zooms in on my website https://www.businessowl.co.uk (I backed up my Business Owl website and then uploaded it to use as a template for the ALFMA site, which I have then customised to suit – somehow the logo is still showing as the image icon, but I don’t know from where).

    In your earlier post you mentioned deleting the header image – I’ve done this several times and uploaded new headers and none of them look right. In my Business Owl site the header image is 1920x1080px and the 2 header max are set at 500 each, and it looks great. When I try to replicate this with ALFMA it isn’t working. As you say the leftover logo might be adding to the issue.

    I look forward to hearing from you – I’m really grateful for your help ??

    Jen

    Okay Jen,

    Try to select some Welcome logo image in Customize → Welcome Area section, save your changes, and then remove it.

    It might help you to resolve the leftover image issue, please let me know if that helps.

    Kind Regards, Roman.

    Hi Roman,

    Thanks, I’ve done that and it has got rid of the image icon which is great and looks better already!

    How could I make the header sit more centrally vertically/horizontally on laptop view? Mobile and iPad now seem ok?

    Thanks,
    Jen

    Hello Jen,

    Now you can try to increase Header max height > 1199px value in Customize → Header Image section.

    Also, as a workaround, you can try to use the following CSS code. You can add CSS code in Customize → Additional CSS section.

    @media (min-width: 1025px) {
        .has-banner::after {
            background-size: contain;
        }
    }

    Kind Regards, Roman.

    Thanks Roman, the CSS has worked.

    Thanks so much for your help as always ??

    Jen

    It’s great that it worked!

    You are welcome Jen ??

    Kind Regards, Roman.
