That doesn’t make any sense to me either… Our plugin doesn’t handle any of the update process – that is handled entirely by WordPress & www.remarpro.com. But wordpress actually doesn’t have a solid way to determine what plugin is what, it uses a relatively basic method of checking the folder name…
Is it possible you have renamed the plugin folder from woocommerce-pdf-invoices-packing-slips to woocommerce-pdf-invoices? What’s also strange is that WordPress is saying the update is 2.9.16 even though that’s a super old version of the plugin it wants to update to (August 3, 2018), which is currently at 3.0.11 (per your screenshot).

How did you find out about this?

Do you use any plugins that may interfere with the internal update process of WordPress?

Ehy, thanks for your answer. Really don’t think so. By the way I have had no time to investigate further… the update disappeared now. Really, no sense.

I’ll be back to you if happens again… :/

    Thanks again!

No problem, I think it must have been a temporary & local fluke, as I don’t see any increase in the downloads trend for the other plugin or decrease in active installation count for ours and I checked several of my own sites and didn’t get this notification.

Thank you so much for reporting though, I’m happy to know people are paying attention ??
