• Hello, I’m using the free version of Generatepress, everything is okay, but there’s only one problem when scrolling the pages.

The issue is pretty weird, when scrolling a page with lots of content, the page lags sometimes, but only if you scroll in a certain way, it does no lag if I scroll slowly, but if I scroll a little faster for 2-3-4 times or I alternate up and down, when the scrolling starts to slow down, the page lags, it’s like a car going very fast then when it starts to slow down, suddenly bumps into an obstacle, the car stops for a millisecond and then continue to go slower, the same effect is reproduced by the page.

If I add more content into the page, the lag is more evident. For example if I put google ads into the page the invisible obstacle stops the page longer.

Do you have any javascript scroll event activated?

I can reproduce the issue only with Android devices, tested on Huawei and Xiaomi (Chrome and default browser, Firefox and Opera not tested yet), while there’s no error on ios devices, both Safari and Chrome.

    Hi there,

It doesn’t sound like a theme issue to me if it only happens on android devices.

If you switch to Twenty twenty one theme, does the same issue occur?

    Let me know ??

It looks like it’s a mobile Chrome bug only on android version. Chrome lags if there is background linear gradient

    Hi there,

this is the GeneratePress Theme support forum.
You will need to speak to your theme author, although it looks from the above replies that this is not a theme related issue.
