    Hi there.

I am using the last version of WooCommerce and it is nice.
But for the very first time I have a weird behaviour with order sequential number.

When I create a new ordre from admin back office, the oder number showed is something like “Order #227274 details”.

But once the order is saved created the order become something like #4…
What can I do, and without plugin please, to keep the first number or something better than #4 ?

    Thanks for any help.

    Hi @patrickhaond,

    Thank you for reaching out.

When I create a new ordre from admin back office, the oder number showed is something like “Order #227274 details”.

I understand your concern about order numbers in your store. As a first step, could you please share a screenshot with us for the order number you see from your end before the order is fully saved?

The reason why I’m asking for the screenshot, is so that we can have a better understanding, as the initial number (#227274) could be the Post ID number that is automatically generated by WordPress.

What can I do, and without plugin please, to keep the first number or something better than #4 ?

I’m afraid this may involve custom coding which is out of our support scope. However, you can consider running the exact question you’re asking through an AI platform like ChatGPT for recommendations.

    I hope this helps.

I don’t know what to ask to Chat GPT to solve that problem… ?
I am used to work with WooCommerce and I never saw that, usually the Post ID number remains and become the order number. Why it is not the case this time ?

    Hi ,

Thank you for sharing the screenshot with us. I went ahead and tried replicating the issue by manually creating an order and marking payment as completed and the number that appeared in my order while creating it, was saved to be the order number. Could you be having any other plugin that could be interfering with your order numbers?

You can temporarily deactivate all your active plugins, only leaving WooCommerce, and try creating an order to see if the issue with the order numbers persists.

I don’t know what to ask to Chat GPT to solve that problem… ?

You can try asking how to?keep the first number in the WooCommerce order number to something better than #4. Please note, this is just a sample of what you could ask ChatGPT. I recommend refining it to better meet your needs.

    I hope this helps.

    Hey @patrickhaond ,

Glad to hear you managed to find the culprit! Since support related to third-party plugin/themes is outside?our scope of support, if you need any further help with this particular issue, I’d suggest reaching out to the Flexible PDF Invoices for WooCommerce and WordPress plugin developers.

Here is a direct link to their dedicated support forum:

    Hope this helps!
