Weird Message

  • Ok so I created a Child Theme (which I have done before). Installed the theme and when I hit “activate”, I got the message below. Now I can’t do anything. It’s not life or death- its my test site- but super frustrating. Thanks.

    it does. problem is i should not of have copied over the functions.php file. so how do i fix this and get my dashboard back?

    FTP into your site (or use whatever file management application your host provides) and delete the functions.php file in the child theme’s folder.

    I can’t FTP in because the theme hadn’t fully activated so it didn’t appear in the theme folder.
