Weird Glitch – Can't drag menus

  • Used to work fine… But I cannot drag menus around to change order. I did not install new plugins. I have none. Now these boxes appear whenever I try leftclick dragging the menus until I let go of the leftclick.

    – To rule out any theme-specific issue, try switching to the unedited default theme for a moment using the WP dashboard. If you don’t have access to your admin area, you can switch to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using via FTP or SFTP or whatever file management application your host provides. Alternately, you can remove other themes except the default theme. That will force your site to use it.

    oh yah now i did. menu seems working fine! is there a way to fix this glitch for my current theme though? I require the theme for my website.

    Contact the developer of the theme and report the issue. Or go make the corrections yourself (you will need to know some PHP and be familiar with WordPress functions and understand how WordPress themes work).

    oh yah now i did. menu seems working fine!

    It means your cirrent theme is broken and/or incompatible with WP 3.6

    I am trying to add titles to my menu and I cannot drag them left. My website has 14 lessons on different pages and I created a menu item named “lessons 6-10”. I can drag it up to be directed above the lesson 6 link. However, I cannot drag it to the left even though the lesson 6 tab is moved to the right one space.

    How can I move the lesson 6-10 tab left one space?

    Despite any similarity in symptoms, your issue is likely to be completely different because of possible differences in physical servers, hosts, plugins, theme, configurations, etc. Posting in an existing topic prevents from being able to track issues by topic.

    Also, It’s easier for volunteers to help you if you have your own topic. Thus, your own thread is likely to get more responses, specific to your issue. ??

    I just updated to 3.6 and I am having the very same problem with the menu.
    Can’t drag and drop and a load of blank boxes the very same as colmstar’s youtube clip.
    Every time I update wordpress there is a problem somewhere, the one before the widgets would not drag, big pain again.

    I’m running wordpress with the smallbiz theme. A lot of work gone into the website so not really able to change themes.

    Any tips to get around this menu problem will be a great help
