Weird “disappearing” act on new theme

  • Hi, all.

    I just finished installing WP 2.7 and the “Soho Serenity” theme on a web site of mind and I’m having the weirdest “now it’s here… now it’s gone” experience.

    When I load my blog page (https://dantesgame.com) only the header graphic and the background color load. If I leave the page sit for about a half-hour, and go back to it, the rest of the template has mysteriously shown up. I took screen shots of it for posterity.

    If I attempt to post something and want to see the new post, it goes back to only the header graphic view–the rest of the template is just gone.

    Anybody have this kind of problem with other templates? I’ve contacted the creator of the template but it’s late on a Sunday night and she’s probably in dreamland by now. ;-}~

    I hope someone sees this and has an idea. I started experiencing this very thing this morning. Using the Stars theme. Killing my traffic.

    Update: this occurs right after i post something new, be it a comment or a post. When I delete my post or move it back to something like scheduled, and do a shift+refresh, it comes back to life. One thought is a compatibility issue between the theme and 2.7 but I don’t want to completely recustomize a theme for 2.7 until I know whether or not that is a logical conclusion…

    In the meantime I guess I can’t post anything new!
