• Greetings to whom it may concern,

Recently after an update, contact form 7 seems to be giving me problems, in this case, it is the input name for users. I highly suspect contact form 7 is not compatible with older/latest version of iOS, since the data generated from the contact form gives weird text (name) input, (email inputs does not have an issue) such as the following:

As far as I know, android users do not have such an issue, as subscribers to my webpage using android phones appear to be working fine in my name list (as shown above).

I am using contact form 7 default forms without editing since day 1, so I haven’t change the name text input area as well, such as:

Your Name
[text* your-name]

I am currently using Boxzilla as well as NS google sheets connector plugin along side with contact 7 as integration. I have tested the other two plugins, and those two are not having the issue with it.

Would anyone be able to assist me with this?

    Regards,
    Lucas

  • These are spammers/hackers/bots submitting to your form. I’m getting them, too, it has nothing to do with the OS that’s just what the bot is showing. Mine all start with 58 as well, the developer is silent about this. I would very much like to know what’s going on here. No attempts to combat this have helped whatsoever including: honeypot, wordfence, ReCaptcha, max & min field submission length, installing SMTP mailer. If dev doesn’t respond I’m uninstalling because there is obviously a vulnerability in the code allowing hacker/bot to bypass form entirely and submit mail through my server at will.
