Hi all, I have this weird issue where I’m getting a lot of posts (or pages) being generated on my site. They aren’t visible unless you crawl the site with a bot and they were appearing in the sitemap, but now not the case. I tried looking for the issue in Google with no luck, although I see a lot of other websites have the same issue. Try putting in google “c4p_log wordpress” – without quotes – and you will see all the indexed pages that were magically generated by the invisible plugin. I’ve looked in my pages and posts from the backend with nothing being visible. I’ve looked in FTP with the same 0 result. Has anyone herd of this before? If so, what is is?

UPDATE: It’s a plugin called “Custom 404 Pro” that is generating these posts. If anyone is having the same issue, just remove the plugin and all the posts disappear.

Hi @nickcav, what plugin you suggest for substitute “Custom 404 Pro”?

Thanks for the info, I was wondering what these logs are; but I have found in the general settings of Costum 404 Pro “Clear Logs – Check this to clear all logs” – than the logs are deletet – it is not perfect but a solution.

I thought you solved my problem. I got so excited. But, dang, I don’t have that plug-in. Still, must be a plug-in that’s causing the logs to appear. I’ll keep looking.

    Thanks, it is Custom 404.

FYI, in the Yoast SEO plugin on the “Post Types” tab there’s a box for “404 Logs (c4p_log)” that you can check and you won’t generate a site map for those logs.

Thanks, bdunn. I looked and don’t have that option. I looked through every tab within Yoast and didn’t find anything about 404 logs. I’ll keep searching! Thank you.
