• Hi,

My wordpress site has just had some weird coding added to it but I’m not sure where it’s coming from.

When I view the source I can see it’s been added at the top of the <body> section just above <meta charset=”UTF-8″>.

The code added is “&#65279”. Random, I know. But it creates a space right at the top of my pages which I need to remove (site is https://www.startofhappiness.com).

Can anybody direct me on how to remove this? I’ve searched for the code in some of the main .php files like functions.php but haven’t been able to find it.

    Brendan

  • Hi,

It appears I’m having the same problem. I was wondering what you did to resolve the issue, as it appears to be fixed on your site now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Heya,

Yep. I disabled all my plugins and it went away… so I realised it had to be a plugin that was causing the issue.

Then I simply switched the plugins on on one-by-one to determine which one it was. That pinpointed which plugin it was and I simply stopped using that plugin.
