  • Hey there, @emptyness!

    Could you share a link to your page, so we can take a look directly? This is very likely caused by a Javascript error.

    Let us know!

    I had the same last week but it disappeared after I made sure everything was up to date: I hadn’t got as far as validating my installation on a second site, and as that required manual updating, X had lagged behind, as had Cornerstone.

    It’s happy now.

    Hey again, @emptyness!

    We’ve taken a look, and noticed some Javascript errors that are not related to HappyForms. That *might* be one of the causes.

    We also noticed that you’re displaying your form in a modal popup, and the modal seems to be an Elementor element. Would you share some details about the setup you’re using to display your form, so we can replicate it? In particular, how is it configured Elementor-side?

    Let’s hope we can figure this out quickly!

    Hi, thank you for your response.

    In fact we haven’t worked on the child theme – everything was solely customized from elementor. No CSS whatsoever!

    First, we downloaded happyforms after watching ‘Ferdy Korespk’ video on u tube;

    Then created our newsletter using the happyforms; then uploaded ‘popbox for elementor’ plugin;

    Then we placed our happyforms code within the popbox for elementor and;

    Then on our footer we used the popbox on-click option for our happyforms newsletter to pop.

    This is what we did – thank you for your help

    Please, happyforms team we beg to help resolve this issue.
    We are still having the same problem on the site after one fills out our form

    Hey again, @emptyness!

    It took a while for us to test, sorry for that! (Un)fortunately that didn’t reveal any issues with HappyForms: we followed the exact same steps, and our forms are working just fine.

    I have a hunch something else is breaking Javascript on your page. There are at least 2 errors I’d suggest to look into:

    1. A Javascript error with “beeketingWPJP”.
    2. An ajax error related to “inboundrocket”.

    If those are WordPress plugins, would you try disabling them temporarily, and see if that makes any difference?

    Let us know your discoveries!

    (@emptyness)

    okay, we reached out to beeketing to deactivate their plugin from our cpanel as it would not be deactivated manually nor deleted on our dashboard.

    We deleted/deactivated inboundrocket

    We will keep you posted on the latest so we can resolve this – thank you

    Hi happy forms,

    We did delete/deactivate both plugins as you requested.

    And the great news is, it worked perfectly. Thank you very much!

    Please, however, we do not get an immediate thank you confirmation on site for our clients as per filled when we were creating our happyforms.

    Instead, it just takes them back up to our header. Nor do we receive a confirmation too in our attached email.
    Could you be kind to assist – thank you again

    Glad to hear that, @emptyness!

    I’d like to tackle your email issue first. Are you using SMTP to handle your WordPress mailing? If not, I’d suggest to use an SMTP plugin: doing so ensures your emails won’t be marked as spam, and all HappyForms features regarding email will work without issues.

    Let us know what you think!

    Thread Starter emptyness

    (@emptyness)

    Thank you Happyforms.

    We did download and activate the SMTP but we have no idea on how to set it up (setting).

    The reason why we are using Happyforms is because Ferdy said it was a trophy alternative to mailchimp – and we love it really.

    So, in essence what we trying to drive across here is we do not understand the use of the STMP in relationship to the Happyforms because viewing the settings it has different options like gmail, sendgrid … etc And it shows error on our dashboard

    Please kindly help clarify this with us, because when clients sign in on our newsletter right now they do not get a thank you confirmation still.

    Also, how do we integrate our happyforms with autoresponders like mailchimp

    Thank you.

    So sorry for the delay in replying! We we’re out over the extended weekend.

    Given what you’ve described I think you might be better of with another contact form plugin for now. That’s really hard for us to say, because we’d love to help you, but HappyForms is brand new and doesn’t really have the SMTP setup that you need.

    Sorry! And hopefully we can add this in the future for people ??
