Weird characters in post

  • Hey guys,

    I just got my site up Hacker’s Helpdesk and I finished up a post today & when publishing it, I got a bunch of weird characters replacing my post.

    Now I know this occurs from copying from MS Word, but I’ve done all of the formatting directly in WordPress. I do use Windows Live Writer when I’m on the road, but this particular post was done in WordPress itself.

    I’ve tried removing all of the (‘) from my post, that didn’t work. I am using linux commands in the post itself (it is a linux tutorial), so I’m not sure if that’s what may be causing it, but this is a very very long post that took me days, & I don’t want to rewrite it. I saw that there used to be a plugin called CurlyEnc that worked for this, but its no longer available. Are there any alternatives? Any suggestions on what to do here?
