weird character

  • On my index page I have 300 char article summaries followed by ‘read more’, as per standard.
    im using this for that:
    echo dp_clean($post->post_content, 300)

    the problem is that at the end of the summary, there is a weird character that i wanna remove.

    this is how it looks:

    how can i remove it????
