I believe there is some kind of bug in you weekly summary email. Some sites send me close to 100 emails on a Monday with all the same details. Am having to disable those.
    Any solution to this?

    Hi @smackayht,

Just to clarify, do you mean you receive around 100 email summary notifications from each site?

    Please let me know.

It seems to be random. Some sites only give me one summary email and some are spamming me with close to 100 emails all a minute apart on a Monday morning. Have had this happen over the past several weeks as our clients are starting to use this plugin.

    Hi @smackayht,

    Thanks for the details!

In this case, do you mean 100 individual notification emails (and not the weekly Email Summary notification)?

If you’re receiving spam notifications on your sites, you can consider using reCAPTCHA in the forms. In case it helps, here’s a detailed tutorial on how to set up reCAPTCHA.

And if you’d prefer not to use reCAPTCHA, you can consider the third-party plugins such as WordPress Zero Spam or Spam protection, AntiSpam, FireWall by CleanTalk which work out of the box to protect your forms against spam.

    Hope this helps!

It is the Weekly Summaries. Not from the forms.

    Hi @smackayht,

    Thanks for the update!

It sounds like there were spam submissions made on the form that are adding to the numbers in Weekly Summaries, but your email service might have blocked out the actual spam notification emails.

To protect your form against spam, you could consider trying one of the options listed in my previous reply.

    Hope this helps!

Its done it again, 30 emails of the exact same WPForms Summary.
How can I send you a screenshot?

    Hi @smackayht,

You can use an online tool like snipboard.io or LightShot and share the link with us here.

Thanks here’s a link: WPForms Emails Image
There was about 30 from the same site this time.
There was only 4 entries from two different forms.

    Hi @smackayht,

    Thanks for the details.

When you get the chance, could you let me know if this happens for other notifications from your site too?

If possible, could you share the system information of your site here? You can go to WPForms > Tools > System Info and copy the details from the System Information section.

    Thanks!

As far as I know it’s not happening with other notifications, only the Weekly report.

    Hi @smackayht,

    Thanks for sharing those details!

However I don’t see anything amiss in your settings, so the next step could be to try uninstalling WPForms Lite completely to see if it resolves the issue.

Before doing this, you may want to export your forms.

Next, you can go to WPForms > Settings > Misc to select Uninstall WPForms. This will remove WPForms data upon deletion. Once you’ve saved your settings, you can go to the Plugins page of your site to deactivate and remove WPForms.

When you’re ready, you can install WPForms Lite again from the Plugins > Add New page of your site, and import the forms you’ve previously exported.

Alternatively, if you’d prefer not to delete and reinstall the plugin, you can consider disabling the weekly summary emails by going to WPForms > Settings > Misc to select Disable Email Summaries.

Please let me know how it goes, or if you’ve any questions.

    Thanks!
