• Why are you sending a weekly email summary to the site admin, while it’s actually an ad to promote PRO functionality. It can be deactivated via the Plugin settings on the Misc tab, but that’s opt-out while advertisement should be opt-in.

  • Hey @josklever – Thanks for contacting us and sharing your feedback about the summary email.

Every week includes different WPForms tips, tricks, or suggestions to try that users can take a look into getting most of the WPForms lite. Having said that, I’ll share your feedback with the developers for consideration.

In the meantime, if you have any other feedback or questions, please feel free to reach out.

    Kindly,

    Thread Starter Jos Klever

No it’s not containing tips for how the free version can be used, it’s an ad for buying the premium version. I think you are talking about a newsletter or something. That’s not what I’m talking about.

Hey @josklever – Thanks for following up on this ticket!

Thanks for sharing the feedback, and I’ve shared it with our leadership for consideration.

In the meantime, if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.

    Kindly,

Hey @josklever – We haven’t heard back from you in about a 4 days, so I’m going to go ahead and close this thread for now. But if you’d like us to assist further, please feel welcome to continue the conversation.

    Thanks!

Reopening the topic, because I’m waiting for you and not the other way around. So don’t close a topic, because you don’t respond.

Hey @josklever – I apologize for the confusion!

I’ve already shared your feedback with the team, and when I have an update, I’ll circle back to notify you.

    Kindly,

    Hi @josklever,

This is Jose Agustin, Team Lead here at WPForms. I wanted to thank you for reaching out and sharing your feedback about this.

I wanted to give some more details on the Weekly Summary and its purpose. The reason behind having the Weekly Summary is to have a way to notify users about new form submissions.

If for whatever reason (maybe an email delivery issue, or the email notifications not being properly set up) the emails are not getting delivered, this serves as a good reminder to see if you got any Forms filled in that week.

As we know that some users might not need it, that’s why it is an optional feature that can be disabled if needed.

I hope this clarifies things a bit. If there’s anything else we could help you with, please let us know, we’d be happy to help.

    Kind regards,

    Thread Starter Jos Klever

    (@josklever)

If email isn’t configured correctly or having an issue, the weekly summary email won’t be sent either, because it has the same issue.

And I understand that some users might see a benefit of such a summary, but it shouldn’t be used as a huge ad for the Pro version as it is right now. And that’s the reason I say it should be opt-in and not opt-out. Maybe ask users if they want to receive it during the installation of the plugin, but not without consent. If you want to keep it opt-out, you should remove the advertisement.

    Hey @josklever,

Thank you for the feedback about the opt-in/opt-out default setting, I’m going to report this internally for more details and further discussion.

If you have any other feedback or questions, please feel free to let us know.

    Kind regards,

Hey @josklever – My team lead has shared the feedback with our leadership team, and it’s under consideration.

Since we haven’t received a response after our previous response, I’m closing this ticket for you. Having said that, please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or any feedback.

    Kindly,

@prashantrai Please stop closing topics that haven’t been resolved. I’m still waiting for an answer/solution to this issue and that answer needs to come from your leadership as you say for yourself. Until that answer is given, this issue is not resolved!

    Hi @josklever,

Please accept my apologies on Prashan’t behalf for the confusion here.

I wanted to let you know that I’ve already escalated this feedback to the management, and we have plans to change a few things in those Weekly Summary emails in the future. Unfortunately, we don’t have an exact ETA nor finalized details as of now, but I can ensure the feedback has been passed and it’s under the team’s radar for our future roadmap. I will update you here as soon as we have any further updates.

    Kind regards,
