We noticed today that all of the events in January 2020 are one weekday off. So an event on January 1st shows as “Tuesday January 1st” even though Jan 1st is a Wednesday.

All of the events in 2019 are fine, and changing the January 1st event to December 31st shows properly as “Tuesday December 31st”

Here are some screenshots on imgur showing what we see.

All of the January dates are like this on the front end, the calendar on the backend shows the proper weekday when selecting from the calendar popup tool.

The timezone is set correctly and the issue remains regardless of what time the event is set for or whether the event is marked all day.

We tracked this down to a custom template file that was using strtotime on just the month and day and since the year was excluded strtotime was defaulting to the current year where January 1st was a Tuesday.

Glad you were able to figure this out – you scared us for a moment there ??
