I am looking to move from Weebly to WordPress and want to make sure I have all the information.

I am not looking to move content, as I am not happy with my Weebly site! I purchased my domain for 2 years and would now like to use it with WordPress. Is this possible, and how so?
I would like to use the “Lovely” or “Feminine Kat” theme from Genesis if this makes a difference!

Thanks so much. I’ve been stuck in Weebly land and now need to learn all over again!

  • You will need to log into your domain account (where you purchased the domain) and set the nameservers to point to your new hosting account servers. Once those are resolved you can install WordPress and install whatever theme you choose.

Thanks so much! I am assuming I will have to buy a host when I switch.

Yes. Sign up with your domain name. Once you have your account your new host will supply you with the nameservers.
