Wecome “user” message

  • Has anyone made a hack or code for having some kind of “welcome user” message or “your logged in as user” message for when members login and then view the public site?

  • One could use get_currentuserinfo() to get the logged in user’s info and display it. Just an idea you could probably use. ??

    It does exist, but you obviously need a way to id someone if you want to welcome them by name.
    DElyMyth (https://www.delymyth.net/en/) has such a feature, based – I guess – on her advanced tracking plugin.
    (It welcomes me by name anyway)

    exactly how would you use that 2far? do you need anything else or could you provide some kinda example for this newbie?

    bump- any ideas- I have no clue how to use the get current user info thing. any help is greatly appreciated. Are there any readme’s or doc’s that explain it? I’ve searched.
