• Hey all,

    I’ve been looking through the site but my lack of knowledge is hurting me a lot, and it’s the root of my current issue.

    My website was sails.org, I went to change the url to https://www.AACPSArtsIntegration.org. I changed two fields in General Settings.

    Not only did that not work, but sails.org is wrecked, the other site doesn’t exist. Unless the site auto-backups, that’s out the window. I went through my documents and found an ISSExpress folder that has a wp configure in it, but I know othing about how this is configured to the site. I’m seeing a lot of terminology in the help forum I don’t understand.

    Can anyone tell me how to fix this? I really don’t want to start this thing over, it took me a while to get it where it currently is. Tried looking for a phone number for WP but it doesn’t exist.

    I also cannot login to WP in general, I just made this account so I could talk about it on the forum. I have no way of getting to my dashboard.

    Thanks for reading through the panic, I hope someone out there can help me fix this

    Don

  • You should be contacting the DNS provider for sails.org:

    domainnamesales.com

    Domain names must be paid for and registered regularly.

    Then, consult new host with their response….

    I hosted my site via BlueHost, is that what you mean or do I need to use domainsales.com?

    I’d like a little more detail, and I thank you for your patience, anything I can do to fix this problem is great, but again I’m very new at all this.

    @monkeyfry180,

    If you owned sails.org, it looks like the domain expired. The domain is currently for sale starting at $16,000.00. Here is the owner information for the domain: https://www.networksolutions.com/whois/results.jsp?domain=sails.org

    “aacpsartsintegration.org” is not owned by anyone. I would suggest that you purchase this. I would suggest using GoDaddy.com but you can by a domain from lots of people.

    BlueHost may still have a copy of your website. It sound like they are/were your hosting company and if your bills are paid, I would suspect your site files to be there still.

    Hope this helps.
