• Hi there–

    I am in a panic.

Last night, I updated Daily Crime Blotter (Built with the theme: WPZoom-LitePress) to the latest version of WordPress.

Now, the website won’t load, and I can’t even log into the back-end to try and fix things or see what’s going on. I’m afraid everything is gone.

I have another website using WPZoom (The Berkeley Observer), and I’ve never had this problem. I think the update may have clashed with the LitePress theme.

    How can I fix this?

    Please help!

    Sincerely,
    Nikki

P.S.–Unfortunately, I did not back up the files ?? I’ve learned my lesson.

  • What is the URL of the site? Do you have FTP access to the server?

    Hi,

First of all, its not necessary to stay in panic. You did not lose your content ??
You can start with ftp and in folder wp-content/themes rename your theme. In this case WordPress will load default theme. If this will not help, it means, that problem is probably not related to theme.
The same steps you can do with wp-content/plugins if you thinkg some plugin there can cause this problem.

Rest assured, there’s a very good chance that not everything is gone. You’ll just need to access the site data in a different way to get things running again. ??

There are many different reasons you’ve run into this issue. The reason is most likely outlined here:

From that article, there are a number of things you can do to solve it.
