I’ve tried searching for this in the forums, but have found nothing relevent so far. Here’s what’s going on (this is copied from most post on my site at https://www.thorfarrow.com):
Back on October 16th, I made comments about a wierd thing happenning with this site. Here’s what I said then:

Ia€?m not sure what happened, but beginning yesterday, none of the posts since Oct. 8th are displayed on the main page of this site. Very wierd, and I dona€?t know what to do about it yet.
    More wierdness to comea€|
    (Update)
Well, making this post a€?fixeda€? the problem. But what caused it, and will it come back to haunt me again?

The answer to that last question is “yes”. A little while ago I wrote that last entry about a phishing email ostensibly from citibank, but when I tried to post it, it saved as a draft. Each time I went to the draft, it was empty; what I’d written was not there. I tried posting it several times, but it stayed as a blank draft and did not show up when I went to view the main page. Then I opened up first the Opera, then IE browsers. Even stranger (and ironically), the most current post that appeared in both of those browsers was the Oct. 16 post I quoted above, while FireFox showed the last post from yesterday. I tried deleting cookies and clearing the cache in all three browsers, but that made no difference. Next I went to my desktop PC (I’d been using my laptop), and got the same result there. I tried writing a new post, but that disappeared completely. Finally, I deleted the blank draft, wrote my post again, published it, and now it’s there in all three browsers.
What the hell is going on?
    Update:
When I try to edit this post and save it, my browser goes to a blank page, but the address is showing “https://www.thorfarrow.com/wp-admin/post.php”. Same thing using IE.
    Update:
It just occured to me that I had not tried changing categories during all of these goings on.
    Update:
    Didn’t matter. Changing back.

Did you have a look at the DB content via, for example, PHPmyAdmin ? Just to see if post where physically there but not displayed ?

Well, the fact is, with the older version of WP, one of my reader always had problems seing the posts with IE. No apparent reason.
But in the way you describe this, I think it is more a DB issue, or in the way the blog fetches the contents. Not .htaccess, I think, because it would be *all or nothing* with it.

Update: I traded emails with my hosting providor about any known issues with the database server itself, and there have been none.

I was thinking more of something like some stupid issue of posts being set in the DB with wrong options, whatever the reason, that’s why I suggested to have a look at the DB itself.

Hmmm. Stupid Issue. How do those happen? Haven’t seen that yet. Have to google it for more info. Think that might be it?
Oh! Did you mean…. Naaahh, you couldn’t have meant that…. As the old saying goes. “Ah ain’t stoopid, I’s jest ignant.” ??
Yeah, I didn’t think there would be any, but I was checking with my host co so I could eliminate the possibility of known infrastructure problems that may have been a factor.
I’ll be taking a look directly at the db tonight or tomorrow, after I get it backed up. Probably tomorrow morning.
    Thanks again for the feedback!

I finally got around to putting phpMyAdmin up on my server and using it to look at my databases. I did not find anything wrong, but then again I’m not really sure what I was looking for.
The day before yesterday the “wierdness” began again, so I decided to simply back up the database and start over from scratch. I ended up completely removing WP 1.2.1 from the server, creating a new database, and installing WP 1.3alpha4. I’ll play around with this for a while & see what happens.
