Website width gotten smaller…

  • My website width seems to have gotten smaller. This happened after an update to the Theme. Not the most recent one, but possibly the one before that.
    The columns are more cramped and narrow, while the text is all crowded in together. It looks very unappealing. And I’m not sure how to correct it. It didn’t look like this a few weeks ago.

    I’ve tried to increase the width through customizer, but it doesn’t seem to affect the site at all. The customizer loads at times, and doesn’t at other times either.

    Please advise.

    Please check whether it’s a cache issue or plugin conflict. You should not have problem loading the customizer.

    The option for changing website max-width is found in Appearance -> Customize -> Web Page Design -> General Design Options
    Find the option -> Website Max-width
    You may want to read the description for this option for a better understanding.

    Hi Denzel,

    Sorry for the delay in responding.

    I have attempted the troubleshooting you advised. Disabled and deactivated my caching plugin, and attempted to change the site width again through the Customizer. Still having the same issues.

    Despite what width size I choose, I don’t see a change in the website. Whenever I re-load the website, on any browser, it loads initially as full size, then flickers and shrinks down to its current state. It doesn’t always happen, but most of the time. Not sure what I’m doing wrong.

    I’ve recorded my screen so you can see exactly what I mean:
