    Hello,

I had built a website on my localhost using the Ocean WP theme and it looks quite good on localhost.

When I migrated the same site to the hosting space on Bluehost the website is totally broken.

The technical support guys at Bluehost( I spoke to their Supervisor) says that the Ocean WP CSS has cracked.
The following things happened in the theme:
    1) Top Header Banner disappeared
    2) Header menu disappeared
    3) Right Sidebar disappeared
    4) Bottom Footer Widget section disappeared

I read somewhere that Bluehost is recommended by WordPress for hosting?
    Is it true?
Why does WordPress recommend a hosting Company where its sites get broken upon migration?

This is a very serious issue.
Should I move my website to some other hosting company?
Is it a problem with the Ocean WP theme that it breaks every time it is migrated from localhost to some server?
Is a problem with Bluehost servers due to excessive restrictions?

  • Hello @sanju369,

Regarding this issue; in fact, you are asking a very general question on this topic, perhaps your website has some JS errors, or perhaps some URL of your website comes from localhost; in this case, all you need is to replace all localhost URL’s with the new URL; Or maybe the migration method wasn’t correct. But one thing is clear, it’s not related to theme or plugins or even WordPress. If you have access to the WordPress dashboard, for troubleshooting, please do the following steps and let me know the results:

1- Head over to WP Dashboard > Plugin.
    2- Deactivate all plugins.
3- Then, first activate the Ocean Extra plugin.
    4- Check your issue.
5- Then, activate your plugins one by one
6- After activation of any plugins, check your issue

Note: if you have any cache plugin or server cache(CDN / Browser Cache and Cookies and …), you need to clear its cache contents or disable them to see your changes. Also, if you are using Elementor, please don’t forget to click on the regenerate all assets file and data in Elementor > Tools.

    I hope that helps.

    Best Regards

    Hi,

My website got broken after being hosted on Bluehost server on 15th May 2022.
I deactivated all plugins and checked whether the problems got resolved but the problems didn’t get resolved.

So I understood that these problems were due to restrictions on the Bluehost server.
However there some problems with the Ocean Extra plugin which I discovered while I was creating the website on my laptop(localhost).

So I deactivated and deleted the plugin twice.

After lodging several complaints with the Bluehost Technical support they were able to sort out the problems.

    Now my website is perfect.
They rectified the server problems on 17th May 2022.

The website url is : https://subhranilbasuray.com/

The website uses WordPress and Ocean WP theme.
