    Hi all,

    I accidentally made a mistake on editing General Settings;
    WordPress Address (URL)
    and
    Site Address (URL)

    resulting in the website unable to display properly on browser. Nor I can login to fix the mistake.

    Please advise which file on “File Manager” of cPanel I need to check and correct the mistake?

    Thanks in advance

    Regards

  • To correct your settings you must use phpmyadmin and update the wp_options table. Here is a link that gives an example to update the two settings – https://www.ostraining.com/blog/wordpress/site-url-and-home-url-wordpress/

    Click on Databases and look for your database name. It could be anything. To know for sure, go to File Manager and view the wp-config.php file. It contains the name of your database. Once you have the db name then proceed using phpmyadmin.

    Hi Tim

    On File Manager

    /** The name of the database for WordPress */
    define( 'DB_NAME', 'i4590666_wp39' );

    On phpMyAdmin again
    i4590666_wp39

    siteurl
    https://192.185.66.91%20childhood.satimis.com
    change it to;
    https://childhood.satimis.com
    save -> go

    Again
    home
    https://192.185.66.91%20childhood.satimis.com
    change it to;
    https://childhood.satimis.com
    save -> go

    Now the website is working again. Lot of thanks for your help.

    Regards
