Website Title Duplicating

  • Hello all,

    I’m having a rather strange issue with my site title. I’m familiar with how to change the title: Admin > Settings > General

    However the issue I’m having is that my site title is duplicating itself in the title bar.

    Any ideas as to why this would be? No matter what I change it to it’s duplicating whatever is in the Site Title field under Admin > Settings > General

    Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks a ton! : )

  • I’d guess that’s Yoast SEO.

    It’s Yoast SEO (and) a theme that is not working well with Yoast [is my thought]. One must now choose which is more important (or do the known time to resolve issue).

    Seems the Social Media (events) on the homepage are an issue…others seem OK…Deactivate all SM plugins…test site.

    BTW, not seeing the dup.’s – clear browser cache.

    In Firefox and Safari – duplicate on top of browser.

    Thanks! It would appear that it is Yoast SEO … after disabling it no longer duplicates… : (

    I see that the Home > Title Template has the following: %%sitename%% %%page%% %%sep%% %%sitedesc%%

    Think that’s the issue? : |

    Looks that way though since that’s a commercial theme you might want to check with Organic Themes about any theme specific questions.
